POS Logistics Network: Managing Deliveries and Fleet
How to use the Logistics tab in AskBiz POS to track parcels, manage your delivery fleet, monitor routes, and view logistics revenue across all branches.
Key Takeaways
- The Logistics tab shows parcels, fleet, routes, and revenue across all your branches in one view.
- Use the branch and sector filters to isolate logistics performance for a specific location.
- Connect your delivery operations to POS so delivery revenue is tracked alongside in-store sales.
Accessing the Logistics Network
Go to POS and click the Logistics sub-tab. The Logistics Network page covers parcels, fleet management, route performance, and delivery revenue across all your branches. If you see 'Loading logistics data...' on first visit, click the Refresh button — the logistics module pulls live data from your connected delivery operations. If your business doesn't handle deliveries, this tab can be ignored; it's most relevant to courier businesses, delivery restaurants, and retail businesses that offer home delivery.
Tracking parcels and deliveries
The parcels section shows every active delivery: the parcel ID, destination, assigned driver or fleet vehicle, current status (picked up, in transit, delivered, failed), and the expected delivery time. Filter by branch to see only deliveries originating from a specific location. Click any parcel to see its full tracking timeline — every status update from when the order was placed through to delivery confirmation. Failed deliveries are flagged in red and should be reattempted or refunded promptly.

Start for free →Fleet and route performance
The fleet section shows each vehicle or driver's utilisation — how many deliveries they've completed in the period, total distance covered, and delivery success rate. A driver with a low success rate may need route optimisation or additional training on customer handovers. The routes section groups deliveries by geographic area, helping you see which delivery zones are most active and whether your fleet coverage matches demand. Overloaded zones may justify hiring an additional driver.
Viewing logistics revenue
Delivery revenue (delivery fees charged to customers) is tracked separately from product revenue. The Logistics Network shows total delivery fees collected by branch, average delivery fee, and number of deliveries. Compare this to the cost of running your fleet — if delivery fees don't cover fuel, vehicle costs, and driver wages, your delivery model is loss-making even if individual orders look profitable. Use the Business > CFO Mode for a deeper analysis of delivery profitability.
