Amazon Seller Analytics: Getting Started

Connect your Amazon Seller Central account to AskBiz and understand the key metrics available in the Amazon dashboard.

What AskBiz tracks for Amazon sellers

AskBiz connects to Amazon Seller Central via the Selling Partner API (SP-API) to pull:

  • Orders, revenue, and units sold by ASIN and SKU
  • Buy Box win percentage by ASIN
  • Best Seller Rank (BSR) by category
  • Advertising performance (ACoS, TACoS, spend, sales) from Amazon Ads
  • Return rate and refund data
  • FBA fee breakdown
  • Inventory levels and coverage

Data updates every 6 hours on Growth plan and every 1 hour on Business/Enterprise.

Step 1: Connect Amazon Seller Central

1. Go to Settings → Integrations → Amazon Seller Central

2. Click Connect

3. You'll be redirected to Amazon to authorise the Selling Partner API connection

4. Grant the requested permissions (read-only access to orders, inventory, advertising)

5. Select your marketplace(s): UK, US, EU, etc.

6. Return to AskBiz — initial data sync takes 2–4 hours

You need to be the account owner or have admin rights to authorise the SP-API connection.

Step 2: Connect Amazon Advertising

Amazon order data and Amazon Ads data are separate connections:

1. Go to Settings → Integrations → Amazon Advertising

2. Click Connect and authorise with your Amazon Advertising account credentials

3. Select the advertising profiles to sync (if you have multiple marketplaces)

Without this connection, AskBiz can't calculate ACoS or TACoS — you'll only see organic sales data.

Navigating the Amazon dashboard

The Amazon section of AskBiz has five main views:

  • Overview: high-level revenue, orders, sessions, unit session percentage, Buy Box %
  • Products: ASIN-level breakdown with BSR, revenue, return rate, FBA fees
  • Advertising: campaign-level ACoS, TACoS, spend, ROAS
  • Inventory: days of supply, restock recommendations
  • Fees: FBA fee breakdown by ASIN, referral fees, monthly storage

Navigate between views using the tabs at the top of the Amazon section.

Key metrics to monitor daily

Daily monitoring checklist for Amazon sellers:

Set up AskBiz alerts for all five in Settings → Alerts → Amazon.
