What the Salon sector covers#
The Salon sector is built for chair-based service businesses — hair salons, barbershops, and similar. It covers four real areas: appointment bookings (with stylist and service assignment), a client record (visit history and photos), a colour formula history per client, and product tracking for backbar and retail stock used during services.
Getting the sector#
Like Retail, Repair, Restaurant, and Logistics, Salon is one of AskBiz POS's sectors, switched on from the Services tab in your admin dashboard (askbiz.co/pos) — see Running Multiple Sectors from One POS Account for how the sector picker works generally. You can also pick Salon / Barbershop directly as your business type at signup, which is one of the five POS-track options — see the Complete Onboarding Guide.
Where staff work#
Staff assigned to the Salon sector log in at pos.askbiz.co and see the salon workflow — bookings, clients, and products — rather than a generic retail till.
