Business Tools Overview
A complete guide to all the free and paid tools available in AskBiz — from the FX Risk Modeller to the Landed Cost Calculator and Social Commerce Intelligence.
What Are Business Tools?
Business Tools are standalone calculators and intelligence modules built into AskBiz. They are separate from the AI chat — you use them by navigating to /tools in the sidebar. Each tool solves a specific business calculation or analysis task that would otherwise require a spreadsheet or specialist software.
FX Risk Modeller
The FX Risk Modeller helps you quantify currency risk on international transactions. Enter your expected invoice value, currency pair, and payment timeline, and the tool shows you the range of potential outcomes given current volatility — plus the cost of hedging options like forward contracts or currency accounts.
Best for: businesses that invoice or pay in foreign currencies.

Landed Cost Calculator
The Landed Cost Calculator adds up the true cost of importing goods — purchase price, shipping, insurance, customs duty, VAT, and handling fees — to give you the real unit cost before you set your retail price.
Best for: importers, wholesalers, and any product business that sources from overseas.

Supplier Scorecard
The Supplier Scorecard rates your suppliers across five dimensions: price competitiveness, lead time reliability, quality consistency, communication responsiveness, and payment terms. Connect your data or enter manually — AskBiz generates a score and flags at-risk supplier relationships.
Best for: businesses with 3+ active suppliers who want to reduce supply chain risk.
Social Commerce Intelligence
Social Commerce Intelligence tracks product demand signals on TikTok, Instagram, and Pinterest — showing trending products in your category before they spike in sales. Demand Spike Alerts notify you 24–72 hours ahead so you can act on inventory, ads, or creator briefs.
Best for: product businesses with a social commerce channel or anyone wanting to anticipate demand shifts.
Free vs. Paid Tools
The FX Risk Modeller and Landed Cost Calculator are fully free — no account required. All other Business Tools (Supplier Scorecard, Social Commerce Intelligence, pre-filled calculators from your connected data) require a Growth or Business plan. On the free plan, you can access the tools but must enter data manually; on paid plans, your connected data pre-fills the inputs automatically.
