How AskBiz Detects Your Columns

When you upload a file, AskBiz scans your column headers and automatically identifies common business data fields:

• Revenue / Sales / Price / Amount → used for revenue KPIs and charts
• Stock / Qty / Quantity / Inventory → used for stock alerts and inventory analysis
• Margin → used for margin health charts and profitability analysis
• Date / Period / Month → used for time-series analysis and forecasting
• Product / Item / SKU / Name → used as the primary identifier

• Use descriptive English column names in your header row
• Avoid abbreviations — 'Revenue' works better than 'Rev' or 'R'
• Keep numeric columns as numbers (not formatted as '£1,234' — just '1234')
• Use consistent date formats (YYYY-MM-DD is most reliable)
