Running an Expansion Analysis
How to trigger a new expansion analysis, what happens during the scan, and how long results take to appear.
How to run an analysis#
1. Go to Expansion in the sidebar
2. Click Run new analysis in the top-right corner
3. Wait for the scan to complete (usually a few seconds)
AskBiz analyses your connected data sources and uploaded files to generate a ranked list of expansion candidates.
What happens during the scan#
The analysis examines your product catalogue, sales history, customer purchase patterns, and market signals to identify gaps and opportunities. It compares your assortment against what your customers are buying elsewhere and flags products with strong demand evidence.
Results appear as ranked candidate cards on the same page.
Running multiple analyses#
You can run as many analyses as you need. Each run generates a fresh set of candidates based on your latest data. If you've recently uploaded new sales data or connected a new source, run a fresh analysis to see updated recommendations.
