Connect Google Analytics to AskBiz
Bring your website traffic, conversion, and audience data from Google Analytics 4 into AskBiz for a complete picture of your customer journey.
What data AskBiz pulls from GA4
Once connected, AskBiz imports the following from Google Analytics 4: Sessions (total visits, by source/medium), Users (new vs returning), Conversion events (purchases, sign-ups, or any GA4 event you have marked as a conversion), E-commerce data (revenue, transactions, and product performance โ if GA4 eCommerce tracking is enabled on your site), Acquisition channels (organic search, paid, social, email, direct), and Landing page performance (sessions and conversions by page). AskBiz does not import raw user-level data or personally identifiable information from GA4.
Connecting your GA4 property
Go to Settings โ Data Sources โ Add New Source โ Google Analytics. Click Authorise with Google and sign in with the Google account that has at least Viewer access to your GA4 property. Select the GA4 property you want to connect and click Connect. AskBiz will start a historical sync for the past 12 months of data (this may take 10โ30 minutes depending on data volume). Once complete, traffic and conversion data will appear in your dashboard under the Web & Acquisition section.
Using GA4 data alongside eCommerce data
The most powerful use of the GA4 connection is correlating website traffic with sales performance. In AskBiz, go to Analyse โ Acquisition to see the full funnel: sessions by channel โ conversion rate by channel โ revenue by channel. This lets you identify which traffic sources are driving not just visits but profitable customers. For example, organic search may drive the most sessions but paid social may drive the highest average order value โ this insight changes how you allocate your marketing budget.
Troubleshooting the GA4 connection
No data after connecting: Check that your Google account has at least Viewer access to the GA4 property in Google Analytics โ Admin โ Property Access Management. Conversion data is missing: In GA4, only events marked as Conversion Events appear in AskBiz as conversions โ verify your purchase or sign-up event is marked as a conversion in GA4 โ Configure โ Events. Revenue data does not match: GA4 revenue and your Shopify/eCommerce platform revenue may differ due to tax handling, currency, and when revenue is attributed โ they measure different things and are not expected to match exactly.
