How to Cancel Your Subscription
How to cancel AskBiz Growth or Business plan. What happens to your data, your connected sources, and your Pulse score when you cancel — and how to export everything before you go.
Before you cancel — things to do first#
Before cancelling, take a few minutes to export any data or reports you want to keep. Once your plan moves to Free and eventually expires, some data becomes inaccessible. Recommended exports: go to Analyse → Export → Full Data Export to download all your connected data as CSV files; go to Settings → Reports → Download Past Reports to save any scheduled reports you have previously received; screenshot any dashboard configurations you want to recreate in the future. Data is retained for 90 days after cancellation — you have time, but it is easier to export before you cancel than to log back in later.
How to cancel#
Go to Settings → Billing → Cancel Subscription. Select a cancellation reason from the dropdown — this is optional but genuinely helps us improve AskBiz. Click Confirm Cancellation.
Your paid plan remains active until the end of your current billing period. You will not be charged again. You will receive a confirmation email with your cancellation date and a reminder of when your plan reverts to Free.
What happens after cancellation#
At the end of your billing period, your account moves to the Free plan:
- Connected data sources with more than 2 connections are disconnected (data stops syncing)
- Team members beyond 1 user lose access
- AI questions are limited to 10 per month
- Scheduled reports are paused
- Your Business Pulse history, question history, and all historical data are retained in read-only mode for 90 days
- After 90 days with no resubscription, your data is permanently deleted per our data retention policy
Reactivating after cancellation#
You can resubscribe at any time from Settings → Billing → Choose Plan. If you resubscribe within 90 days of your plan ending, your historical data and data source configurations are automatically restored — reconnect your sources and your dashboard picks up where it left off. After 90 days, data is deleted and you will need to start the connection process from scratch.
Alternatives to cancelling#
If cost is the concern: consider downgrading to the Growth plan (lower price, most features retained) or the Free plan (no cost, limited features). If a specific feature is not working for you: contact our support team at hello@askbiz.co — issues with data connections, AI accuracy, or missing integrations are often fixable. If you are taking a break from the business: the Free plan costs nothing and retains your data — you can reactivate paid features instantly when you need them again.
