How to Upgrade or Downgrade Your Plan

Step-by-step instructions for upgrading to Growth or Business, or downgrading your AskBiz plan. Understand proration and billing cycle changes.

How to Upgrade

1. Go to /billing from the sidebar

2. Click Upgrade under the plan you want

3. Enter payment details (card or PayPal)

4. Confirm โ€” your new features are active immediately

Upgrades are prorated: if you're 15 days into a monthly cycle and upgrade, you only pay for the remaining 15 days at the new rate.

How to Downgrade

1. Go to /billing

2. Click Change Plan โ†’ select a lower tier

3. Confirm your downgrade

Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep all current features until then. At renewal, your plan switches and features are adjusted accordingly.

What Happens to Your Data

Downgrading does not delete your data or connected sources. However:

  • Features not included in the lower plan become read-only or hidden
  • Unlimited AI questions revert to the 10/month limit (Free) or unlimited (Growth)
  • Team members lose access if you downgrade from Business
  • Real-time Pulse reverts to 6-hour or daily updates

Switching to Annual

You can switch from monthly to annual billing at any time from /billing โ†’ Billing Frequency. You'll be charged the annual amount immediately and credited the prorated remaining days of your current monthly cycle.
