Churn Intelligence Guide

How AskBiz identifies at-risk customers before they churn. Understanding the churn score, which customers to prioritise, and how to take action.

What Is Churn Intelligence?

Churn Intelligence is a monthly AI scan of your customer base that identifies customers most likely to stop buying from you โ€” before they do. Each customer (or customer segment) receives a churn risk score from 0โ€“100. A score above 70 is high risk; above 85 is critical.

How the Score Is Calculated

The churn model analyses:

  • Recency โ€” how long since this customer last purchased
  • Frequency trend โ€” is their purchase frequency declining?
  • Value trend โ€” are their average order values decreasing?
  • Product engagement โ€” are they buying fewer product categories?
  • Support interactions โ€” have they had issues recently?
  • Benchmark comparison โ€” how does their pattern compare to customers who have churned in the past?

Taking Action

For each high-risk customer or segment, AskBiz suggests an action:

  • Win-back email โ€” draft a re-engagement email (click Generate Email)
  • Personalised discount โ€” suggested discount level based on their historical order value
  • Product recommendation โ€” based on their purchase history and segment behaviour
  • Escalation โ€” for high-value customers, a flag to call them personally

All actions can be triggered from the Churn Intelligence panel.

Churn Intelligence Requirements

For the best results, you need:

  • At least 3 months of customer order history
  • A customer identifier in your data (Customer ID or anonymised email hash)
  • Shopify, Amazon, or CSV data with repeat purchase history

Churn Intelligence is a Growth and Business plan feature, run monthly on the 1st of each month (or manually triggered from the panel).
