Delay and Risk Flags
How AskBiz detects delayed and at-risk shipments and what the risk indicators mean for your business.
Delay detection#
AskBiz compares each shipment's expected arrival date against its current tracking status. If a shipment is past its expected date and hasn't been delivered, it's flagged as Delayed with the number of days overdue shown.
Delayed shipments are highlighted in amber on the shipments list.
At-risk indicator#
The at-risk flag appears when AskBiz detects signals that a shipment may be delayed before it actually misses its date. Signals include:
- No tracking update for an unusually long period
- Shipment routed through a congested hub
- Carrier service disruption on the route
At-risk shipments let you take preemptive action โ contact the carrier, notify your customer, or arrange alternative supply.
Delay days#
The delay_days figure shows how many days behind schedule the shipment is. This feeds directly into the financial impact calculation so you can see the real cost of the delay.
