Question Limits by Plan

• Free: 10 questions per calendar month
• Growth: Unlimited
• Business: Unlimited

Limits reset on the 1st of each month on the Free plan. There is no rollover — unused questions from January do not carry into February. Your current usage is shown at the bottom of the AI chat panel ('X of 10 questions used this month').

Each message you send that requests an AI response counts as one question. This includes natural language questions, follow-up questions within the same conversation, and questions that trigger a Business Tool (e.g. asking about FX risk opens the FX Modeller and counts as one question).

The following do not count toward your limit:

• Viewing your Business Pulse score
• Reading your Daily Brief
• Browsing previously generated tool results
• Navigating dashboards and reports
• Receiving scheduled reports by email

If you are on the Free plan and want to make your 10 questions count, focus on compound questions that cover multiple metrics at once rather than asking separately. Examples:

• Instead of 'What is my revenue this month?' and 'What is my average order value this month?' — ask 'Give me a summary of my revenue, average order value, and top 3 products this month'
• Instead of 'Which products have low margin?' and 'Which products have high return rates?' — ask 'Which products have both low gross margin and high return rates?'

Also use the Daily Brief — it answers the most common daily questions (what changed, what is trending, what needs attention) without using your question allowance.

On the Free plan, once you have used your 10 questions, the AI chat shows a prompt to upgrade. You can still view your Business Pulse, read saved Daily Briefs, browse past tool results, and receive scheduled reports. You cannot ask new questions until the 1st of the next month (when the limit resets) or until you upgrade to a paid plan.

If you upgrade mid-month, the new unlimited allowance takes effect immediately — there is no waiting for a new billing cycle.

On the Free plan, the 10 question limit applies to the account — questions asked by any team member count toward the shared total. On Growth and Business plans, each team member has their own unlimited question allowance. A team member using AI chat does not consume allowance from other members. Usage is tracked per user in Settings → Team → Usage on Business plan — useful for understanding which team members are getting value from AskBiz.
