Connect WooCommerce to AskBiz

Step-by-step guide to connecting your WooCommerce store and syncing orders, products, and customer data.

Before you start

You will need:

  • Admin access to your WordPress dashboard
  • Your WooCommerce store URL (e.g. https://yourstore.com)
  • An AskBiz account on the Growth or Business plan

WooCommerce connection is not available on the Free plan.

Step 1 — Generate a WooCommerce API key

In your WordPress admin panel, go to WooCommerce → Settings → Advanced → REST API. Click Add Key.

Fill in:

  • Description: AskBiz
  • User: your admin account
  • Permissions: Read

Click Generate API Key. You will see a Consumer Key and Consumer Secret. Copy both immediately — the Consumer Secret is only shown once and cannot be retrieved afterwards.

Step 2 — Connect in AskBiz

In AskBiz, go to Settings → Integrations → WooCommerce.

Enter:

  • Your store URL (include https://)
  • Consumer Key
  • Consumer Secret

Click Connect. AskBiz will test the connection and begin your initial data import.

Step 3 — Wait for the initial import

The first import pulls up to 2 years of historical orders, products, and customer data. This typically takes 20 to 90 minutes depending on your order volume. You will receive an email when the import is complete.

Do not disconnect or refresh the integration during the initial import.

Ongoing sync

After the initial import, AskBiz syncs new orders and inventory changes every 6 hours. To trigger an immediate sync — for example after a promotional campaign — go to Settings → Integrations → WooCommerce → Sync Now.
