Connect Walmart Marketplace to AskBiz

Step-by-step guide to connecting your Walmart Marketplace seller account and syncing orders and revenue data.

Before you start#

You will need:

  • An active Walmart Marketplace seller account (US marketplace)
  • Access to Walmart Seller Center → Developer Tools
  • Your account must be approved and in good standing

Walmart Marketplace connection requires the Growth or Business plan.

Step 1 — Generate API credentials in Seller Center#

Log in to Walmart Seller Center and go to Settings → Developer Tools (or search for 'API' in the top navigation).

Click Add new key for a Solution Provider or Seller App. Give it a name (e.g. AskBiz), set permissions to Read Only, and confirm.

You will receive a Client ID and Client Secret. Copy both — the Client Secret is shown only once.

Step 2 — Connect in AskBiz#

In AskBiz, go to Sources and click Connect next to Walmart.

Enter:

  • Client ID — the UUID from Seller Center
  • Client Secret — the secret shown after key generation

Click Connect. AskBiz immediately validates your credentials against the Walmart API — if they are correct the connection is confirmed, if not you will see a specific error message explaining the problem.

Step 3 — Initial data import#

The first import pulls your orders from the last 90 days. This typically takes 2 to 10 minutes. Once complete, your Walmart orders appear in Intelligence, CFO Mode, and the Ask tab.

Walmart orders include line-item detail, product names, SKUs, shipping costs, and your estimated marketplace referral fee.

Ongoing sync#

After the initial import, AskBiz syncs new Walmart orders every 6 hours. To trigger an immediate sync, go to Sources, find Walmart, and click Sync Now.

Note: Walmart access tokens expire after 15 minutes. AskBiz handles token refresh automatically — you do not need to reconnect.
