How to Invite a Team Member

Give colleagues access to AskBiz by inviting them to your account with the right role for their needs.

Plan limits for team members

Team member seats depend on your plan:

  • Free: 1 user (account owner only)
  • Growth: up to 3 users
  • Business: up to 15 users, with custom roles

If you need more seats than your plan allows, contact support@askbiz.co.

How to invite someone

Go to Settings โ†’ Team โ†’ Invite Member.

Enter the team member's email address and select their role (see Roles & Permissions for details). Click Send Invite.

The invited person will receive an email with a link to set up their password. The link expires after 7 days โ€” if it expires, go to Settings โ†’ Team โ†’ Pending Invites and resend.

What the invited person sees

Once they accept the invite and log in, they will see the same AskBiz interface as you, filtered to the dashboards and features their role permits. They will not see your password, payment details, or any data you have explicitly restricted for their role.

Removing a team member

To remove someone's access, go to Settings โ†’ Team โ†’ Members, find their name, click the three-dot menu, and select Remove Member. Their access is revoked immediately. Any data they exported before removal remains with them โ€” revocation does not delete exported files from their devices.

Transferring account ownership

If the account owner is leaving the business, ownership can be transferred to another team member. Go to Settings โ†’ Team โ†’ Members, find the new owner, click the three-dot menu, and select Transfer Ownership. You will be asked to confirm with your password. After transfer, your role changes to Admin.
