How to Share a Dashboard
Share AskBiz dashboards with investors, advisors, and stakeholders — with or without requiring them to create an account.
Two ways to share
Option 1 — Invite as a Viewer: Best for ongoing access. The recipient creates an AskBiz login and can view the dashboard at any time. Go to Settings → Team → Invite Member and assign the Viewer role.
Option 2 — Secure share link: Best for one-time or short-term sharing. The recipient clicks a link and views the dashboard without needing an AskBiz account. The link can be set to expire.
Generating a secure share link
From any dashboard, click the Share icon in the top right corner. Select Generate Link.
Configure:
- Expiry: 7 days, 30 days, 90 days, or Never
- Password protection: optional — add a password the recipient must enter before viewing
- Data scope: choose which date range the recipient can see (useful for investor sharing where you may want to limit to current year)
Click Generate and copy the link to share it.
Investor sharing
For investor or board reporting, use the Investor Pack feature (Reports → Investor Pack).
This generates a curated view of your key metrics — revenue growth, gross margin, customer count, churn rate, and cash position — formatted for investor consumption. You can add commentary to each metric before sharing.
The Investor Pack can be shared as a link or exported as a PDF.
Revoking a shared link
To stop access via a shared link, go to Settings → Sharing → Active Links. Find the link by the dashboard name or creation date and click Revoke. The link stops working immediately — anyone who tries to access it after revocation will see an access denied message.
