Completing Repairs and Customer Collection
How marking a repair ready and collecting payment actually works — a single-tap status change, an optional progress-photo update for the customer, and a WhatsApp receipt on collection.
Marking a job ready#
From the ticket board, tap Mark Ready to move a job from In Progress to Completed — it's a single status change, with no notes or photo required to complete it. AskBiz sends the ready-for-collection WhatsApp message automatically at this point.
Sharing progress photos (optional, any time)#
You can add photos to a job's gallery at any point during the repair and tap Share Update to WhatsApp the customer a link to a photo gallery page they can view without logging in — useful for showing work in progress, not just the final result. This is separate from marking the job ready and isn't required.
Collection and payment#
When the customer arrives, open the job and take payment through your normal POS payment methods for the full quoted price — there's no deposit/partial-payment split for repair jobs today. The payment is recorded as a standard transaction linked to the job, so it appears in your regular sales figures too. Tap Collect to move the job to Collected; this fires both the collection confirmation and, where applicable, the warranty message automatically. There's no on-screen signature capture — collection is confirmed by staff marking the job, not a customer signature.
