Auto-created warranties#

When a repair job is marked as collected, AskBiz automatically creates a warranty record. The default warranty period is 90 days from the collection date. Each warranty is linked to the job, customer, and device serial number for easy lookup.

Customising warranty terms#

You can adjust the default warranty period in POS Settings under Repair Preferences. Individual jobs can also have their warranty overridden at completion. Set longer warranties for premium repairs or shorter ones for minor fixes as your business requires.

Warranty claims and lookups#

Customers can return with a warranty claim. Search by serial number, customer name, or job reference to find the warranty. If the claim is valid, a new linked job is created at no charge. The original job history is attached for the engineer's reference.
