Getting Started with Repair & Service Jobs
Learn how to enable the repair and service jobs feature in AskBiz POS, configure staff roles, and understand the end-to-end repair workflow.
Enabling repair and service jobs#
Navigate to POS Settings and toggle on 'Repair & Service Jobs'. Once enabled, a new Repairs tab appears in your POS dashboard. Only account owners and managers can enable this feature. All existing POS functionality continues to work alongside the repair module without interruption.
Staff roles for repairs#
Two additional roles become available: Repair Staff and Engineer. Repair Staff can check in devices and manage the front-desk workflow. Engineers are assigned to jobs and can log diagnostics, parts used, and completion notes. Assign roles from the Staff Management page under POS Settings.
The repair workflow at a glance#
Every repair follows a clear pipeline: intake, quoting, assignment, repair, completion, and collection. Each stage updates in real time on the Repairs dashboard. Staff and customers receive notifications at key milestones, keeping everyone informed throughout the process.
